- DEVICES
EVRLG supports the UDA50A and KDB50 Controllers and the RA60, RA80, RA81
and RA82 Disk Drives. The UDA50A can be attached to the unibus adapter
(DW730, DW750, DW780) or the BI-to-unibus adapter DWBUA. For the VAX
8800, the KDB50 must be attached to the NBIBn. Only one bus adapter can
be in use at a time, that is, exactly one of DW730, DW750, DW780, DWBUA,
or KDB50.

- EXIT
This command will cause the program to exit manual intervention mode.
- HELP
EVRLG version 6.0 is a Level 3 Functional diagnostic for the VAX
UDA50/KDB50 disk subsystem. This is the UDA/KDB DISK EXERCISER. EVRLG
runs test 4 only on the UDA50A or KDB50 controller and at least one RA
disk drive. The UDA50A has modules M7485 and M7486; the KDB50 has
modules T1002 and T1003. Test 5 of EVRLG is for changing runtime
parameters, which defines the desired length of the test and error
criteria.
- QUERY
This command will require the user to answer all the software questions
thus selecting all parameter values. It is used in the MANUAL section.
- QUICK
The QUICK flag has no effect in this diagnostic.
- RESET
This command will cause all the parameters to be changed to the startup
default values. It is used in the MANUAL section.
- SECTION
Defines the diagnostic program sections (/SECTION qualifier on RUN or
START) which program supports.
- DEFAULT
Evoked by typing: ST <return>
RUN EVRLG <return>
Runs default test (Test 4).
- EXERCISE
Evoked by typing: ST/SEC:EXERCISE <return>
RUN EVRLG/SEC:EXERCISE <return>
Runs the exerciser (Test 4).
- MANUAL
Evoked by typing: ST/SEC:MANUAL <return>
RUN EVRLG/SEC:MANUAL <return>
Runs the Question/Answer Test (Test 5).
This enables the operator to change one or more parameters.
- SELECT
SEL DUa ! selects the controller to test
SEL DUan ! selects the drive to test
- SUMMARY
The SUMMARY report contains statistics for each drive for Test 4
(DISK EXERCISER) only. The SUMMARY contains the Drive Name,
Drive Serial Number, Number of Seeks (x1000), Number of Megabytes
Read, Number of Megabytes Written, Number of Hard Errors, Number of
Soft Errors, and Number of ECC Corrections.
Example:
Test number 4 in progress ...
DRIVE SERIAL NUMBER SEEKS MBYTES MBYTES HARD SOFT ECC
