- DEVICES
EVRLF supports the UDA50 and KDB50 Controllers and the RA60, RA80, RA81
and RA82 Disk Drives. The UDA50 may be attached to the UNIBUS adapter
DW730, DW750 or DW780, or it may be attached to the BI-to-UNIBUS adapter
DWBUA. For the VAX 8800, the DWBUA and KDB50 must be attached to the
NBIBn. Only one bus adapter can be in use at a time, i.e. exactly one
DW730, DW750, DW780, DWBUA or KDB50.

- EVENT_FLAGS
This diagnostic program uses EVENT FLAG 22 to enter Manual Mode
testing in Test #2. This flag and the VAX Diagnostic Supervisor
flag OPERATOR both must be set to run in this mode. EVENT FLAG 22
is cleared in the cleanup section.
- HELP
EVRLF version 6.0 is a Level 3 Functional diagnostic for the VAX
UDA50 or KDB50 disk subsystem. It is the UDA/KDB BASIC SUBSYSTEM
DIAGNOSTIC. It runs tests 1,2,3 on the UDA50A or KDB50 controller.
Test 1 checks out the host-to-controller communication link, including
a complete Bus Addressing Test. Test 2 runs the disk resident
diagnostics. Test 3 runs the disk functional diagnostics. None of
these tests uses the customer data area on the disk. The UDA50A has
modules M7485 and M7486; the KDB50 has modules T1002 and T1003.
EVRLG is a related UDA/KDB diagnostic, known as the DISK EXERCISER,
and must be run as a separate diagnostic.
- QUICK
The QUICK flag has no effect in this diagnostic.
- SECTION
Defines the diagnostic program sections (/SECTION qualifier on RUN or
START) which program supports.
- DEFAULT
Evoked by typing: ST <return>
RUN EVRLF <return>
Runs default tests (Test 1, Test 2, Test 3).
- UDAKDB
Evoked by typing: ST/SEC:UDAKDB <return>
RUN EVRLF/SEC:UDAKDB <return>
Runs controller test only (Test 1).
- VERIFY
Evoked by typing: ST/SEC:VERIFY <return>
RUN EVRLF/SEC:VERIFY <return>
Runs in verify mode (Test 1, Test 2, Test 3).
- SELECT
SEL DUa ! selects the controller to test
SEL DUan ! selects the drive to test
- SUMMARY
The summary report gives the test number currently running, the current
date and time and the elapsed runtime for the diagnostic.
