- Help EVRJA
EVRJA is a VAX-11 level 3 supervisor supported diagnostic designed to
diagnose ML-11 block mode memory systems on VAX-11/780 or VAX-11/750
central processors.
It is the result of an effort to convert the PDP-11 version ML-11
Control Logic Test to run under the VAX-11 diagnostic supervisor env-
ironment. This diagnostic is capable of testing either ML-11A or
ML-11B units.
The goal of EVRJA is to isolate failures down to the logic function
level and to report to the operator which function failed and the
module to replace.
This will be accomplished by testing the most visible logic functions
contained on single modules first and then progress to test less vis-
ible logic. Scope loops are be strategically located around logic
function tests to enable any user to isolate fault to the chip level.
An ML-11 unit is a fast random access block mode mos memory system
with ecc capabilities. It is made up of three control modules and
up to 16 array modules. It is a mass bus device and such conforms
to mass bus standards.

Once the UUT has been attached and selected the Diagnostic must be lo-
aded and started.
Examples of this for 11/780 and 11/750 are shown below.

DS> LOAD EVRJA
DS> Start/Switches
- 1/750
------
DS> LOAD EVRJA

- Sections
There exist three program sections within this Diagnostic
and they are:
All, Default, Manual
- All
This sections is defined as a default program section and
when run will execute all tests within this diagnostic
except for the manual intervention tests.
- Default
This sections is the default program section and when
run will execute all tests within this diagnostic
except for the manual intervention tests.
- Manual
This program section contains Test 57 'Power Fail Test' and
Test 58 'Battery Backup Test'. This section is a non-default
program section and can be only initiated when this program
section name is included into the DS> Commands start or run.
When called the operator will be asked to turn box power on
and off with and without battery-backup.
- Device
The devices supported by this diagnostic are solely ML-11 units.
- Event
There presently exists no event flag usage within this diagnostic.
- Quick
There presently exists no Quick pass usage within this diagnostic.
- Summary
There presently exists no report summary usage within this diagnostic.
