Device Link? HUB
Device Name? ETa ! where a = a,b,etc.
BI Node Number (HEX)? n ! where n = 0 to F
DS> ATTACH

Device Name? ETan ! where n = 0,1,etc.
Example:
DS> ATT DEBNT HUB ETA 6
DS> ATT LANCE ETA ETA0
Additional information:
Node: The node which the DEBNT is plugged into. This is determined by
a plug on the backplane.
- SECTIONS
Defines the diagnostic program sections (/SECTION qualifier on RUN or
START) which program supports. EVDYC supports two sections, the DEFAULT
section and the ALL section.
- DEFAULT
Invoked by typing: ST <return>
RUN EVDYC <return>
Runs default test (Test 2 - External Loopback Test on NI)
- ALL
Invoked by typing: START/SECTION:ALL <return>
RUN/SECTION:ALL EVDYC <return>
Runs test 1 and test 2.
- HELP
EVDYC is a Level 3 interface program which allows the user to interface
to the NI/LANCE ROM-Based Diagnostic found on the VAX BI to NI Adapter.
The diagnostic consists of two tests. Test 1 should be run with a loopback
connecter. Test 2 may be run while the DEBNT module is connected to an NI
or to a loopback connector. Please note that errors may be reported by the
diagnostic if the DEBNT module is connected to the NI and the network is
busy. Test 2 is run as the default test as this test will run with both
loopback connectors and the NI. Test 1 is not run as part of the default
section because it may fail due to traffic on the NI. Test 1 does not
contain the error handling capability necessary to run on an NI. Test 2
has this error handling capability.
THIS TEST MUST NOT BE RUN WITH MEMORY MANAGEMENT ENABLED.
- SELECT
SEL ETa ! selects the adapter to test; a = a,b,etc.
SEL ETan ! Selects the LANCE; n = 0,1,etc.
