EVDXA is a Level 3 repair level diagnostic for the M8200, M8204,
and M8207 Microprocessor boards which are employed in the DMR11,
DMP11, DMC11, KMC11, and LPA11 Communications Options.

- DEVICE
EVDXA tests the M8200, M8204, and M8207 Microprocessor boards.
These Microprocessor boards are used with line units or other
Comm Options to create communications controllers. The M8204
uses Random Access Memory to inplement its program storage,
allowing it to be configured by the CPU to perform different
jobs. The M8200 and M8207 contain their programs in Read Only
Memory and are used in conjunction with unit cards to create
the communications interfaces.

- SECTIONS
There is only one program section in this diagnostic. All 22 tests are
included in the DEFAULT Section.
- EVENT-FLAGS
The following is a list of the appropriate event flags to be used to
test the various module types that htis diagnostic is capable of testing.
One of the event flags 1-7 must be set to indicate the ucpu type, and if
there is a line unit connected to it, the appropriate flag 8-10 should also
be set. (The program needs to know about the line unit, even though it is
not tested by this diagnostic).

- QUICK
The QUICK feature is not implemented in this diagnostic. The
diagnostic execution time is about 20 seconds for an error
free pass on one M8207 unit.
- SUMMARY
The SUMMARY section is not implemented by this diagnostic.

ERRORS ARE REPORTED BY THE PROGRAM AS THEY OCCUR (IF NOT
INHIBITED). THE REPORT CONFORMS TO THE DIAGNOSTIC SUPERVISOR
ERROR REPORT FORMAT, AND CONSISTS OF A DESCRIPTION OF THE
ERROR, THE TEST NUMBER, SUBTEST NUMBER, DEVICE NAME, AND

VAX DIAGNOSTIC SUPERVISOR (ESSAA - VERSION 5.0 OR LATER) MUST
BE RESIDENT IN MEMORY. (THE SUPERVISOR MUST FIRST BE LOADED,
AND SUCCESSIVE DIAGNOSTICS CAN THEN BE LOADED AND RUN, WITHOUT
RE-LOADING THE SUPERVISOR).
