- HELP
EVDNB is a level 3 diagnostic designed to perform static and functional
tests on the DN-11 Automatic Calling Unit Interface. This program should
detect any stuck-at high/low state failures.
- ATTACH
A sample of attaching a DN11 on a VAX 11/780:
ATT DW780 SBI DWA0 3 4 ; Attaches the UBA to the SBI
LOAD EVDNB ; MUST load diagnostic BEFORE attaching
ATT DN11 DWA0 DNA0 775200 300 4 ; Attach DN(A)0 to UBA
Y-OPTION? YES (NO) ; "EON code" required for call completion?
; YES=End of Number code (1100) required.
; NO=ACU auto handshaking mode.
Z-OPTION? YES (NO) ; Will clearing "call request bit" terminate
; the call?
; YES=Control via "call request bit"
; NO=Modem will terminate the call.
DS> ATT DN11 DWA0 DNA1 775202 300 4 NO NO PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VECTOR IS
DS> ATT DN11 DWA0 DNA2 775204 300 4 NO NO THE SAME FOR ALL DN CONTROL
DS> ATT DN11 DWA0 DNA3 775206 300 4 NO NO MODULES (M7226) INSERTED INTO
THE SAME BACKPLANE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ADDRESSES
ARE NOT THE SAME FOR ALL OF THE
DN CONTROL MODULES INSERTED IN
THE SAME BACKPLANE, BUT ARE
CONSECUTIVE.
NOT ALL DN CONTROL MODULES
(M7226) ARE NECESSARY, ONE
IS ENOUGH TO RUN THESE TESTS.
SELECT DNA0 ; Select the attached DN-11.
- SECTIONS
There are two sections in EVDNB:
The DEFAULT section is executed anytime you specify "START <CR>".
Only the first two static tests are run (no ACU necessary).
The ACU section is executed when you specify "START/SEC:ACU <CR>".
Note that a functioning Automatic Calling Unit (ACU) must be connected.
All tests will be run if you specify "START/SEC:ALL <CR>".
- DEVICE
Device supported by EVDNB are the DN-11 and associated ACU.
