EVDMA is a Level 3 repair level diagnostic for the M8203 Line Unit
employed in the DMR11, DMP11, and KMS11-PX Communications Options.

EVDMA TESTS THE M8203 LINE UNIT MODULE.
THE M8203 IS A SINGLE-LINE SYNCHRONOUS LINE UNIT MODULE WHICH
SUPPORTS BOTH CHARACTER-ORIENTED (DDCMP, BSC, ETC.) AND BIT-
ORIENTED (SDLC, HDLC, ETC.) PROTOCOLS, AND WHICH IS CURRENTLY
EMPLOYED IN THE DMP11, DMR11, AND KMS11-PX COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS.

THE PROGRAM SHOULD NOW BE RUNNING.

Complete descriptions of the many test patterns used are given in
the program document for EVDMA.
- SECTIONS
There is only one program section in this diagnostic. All 74 tests are
included in the DEFAULT Section.
- EVENT-FLAGS
EVENT FLAG #1 (BIT1) - MANUAL INTERVANTION FLAG
IF THE OPERATOR SETS THIS FLAG, THE PROGRAM WILL LATER PAUSE
BEFORE TESTING EACH LOGICAL UNIT AND INFORM THE OPERATOR TO
INSTALL THE APPROPRIATE TEST CONNECTOR(S) ON THAT UNIT, AND
THEN PROCEED TO TEST THAT UNIT. IF THE OPERATOR DOES NOT SET
THIS FLAG, THE PROGRAM WILL PERFORM TESTING ON ALL UNITS
WITHOUT ALLOWING MANUAL INTERVENTION BETWEEN UNITS. IN THIS
CASE, ALL TEST CONNECTOR(S) ON ALL UNITS SHOULD BE INSTALLED
PRIOR TO RUNNING THE PROGRAM.
EVENT FLAG #2 (BIT2) - SW PAK AND AX3-15 PRINTOUT FLAG
IF THE OPERATOR SETS THIS FLAG, THE PROGRAM WILL ALLOW THE
PRINTOUT OF SWITCH PACKS 1-3 AND MODEM INTERFACE REG AX3-15
ON ANY PASS IN WHICH THE CORRESPONDING TESTS (TESTS 53,54)
ARE RUN. IF THE OPERATOR DOES NOT SET THIS FLAG, THE PROGRAM
ONLY ALLOWS PRINTOUT OF THESE REGISTERS ON THE FIRST PASS
AFTER LOADING, IF THE TESTS ARE RUN.
EVENT FLAG #3 (BIT3) - SW PAK TEST FLAG
IF THE OPERATOR SETS THIS FLAG, THE PROGRAM WILL ALLOW THE
READING AND COMPARISON OF SWITCH PACKS 1-3 TO VALUES ENTERED
INTO THE HARDWARE P-TABLE FOR THIS UNIT, IF THE CORRESPONDING
TEST (TEST 53) IS RUN. IF ALLOWED, SWITCH PACK COMPARISON
ERRORS WILL BE REPORTED. IF THE OPERATOR DOES NOT SET THIS
FLAG, THE SWITCH PACK COMPARISON TESTS ARE NOT DONE.
TO SET AN EVENT FLAG, FLAG 1 FOR EXAMPLE, THE OPERATOR MUST TYPE :

- QUICK
The QUICK feature is not implemented in this diagnostic. The
diagnostic execution time is about 30 seconds for an error
free pass on one unit, at 56K baud, using H3254,5 loopback.
- SUMMARY
The SUMMARY section is not implemented by this diagnostic.
- ERRORS
ERRORS ARE REPORTED BY THE PROGRAM AS THEY OCCUR (IF NOT
INHIBITED). THE REPORT CONFORMS TO THE DIAGNOSTIC SUPERVISOR
ERROR REPORT FORMAT, AND CONSISTS OF A DESCRIPTION OF THE
ERROR, THE TEST NUMBER, SUBTEST NUMBER, DEVICE ADDRESS,
AND BASIC AND EXTENDED ERROR INFORMATION.
THE FOLLOWING EXAMPLE PROVIDES A TYPICAL ERROR REPORT, WHICH
DESCRIBES AN "IRDY NOT SET" ERROR, AND PROVIDES THE FAILING
