- HELP
EVCKC is the third of six Repair Level Diagnostics for the
CIBCI (BI to CI adapter). All the tests run in the default section.
There are 33 tests.
To run EVCKC, boot in the VAX 8200/8300, 8800
compatible Diagnostic Supervisor. (For VAX 8200/8300
EBSAA and for VAX 8800 EZSAA)
Each time information is desired on keywords
it is necessary to type HELP EVCKC 'keyword'.

- SECTIONS
Sections names have been generated for tests that test
common hardware and/or similar functions. The user can run
any individual section by typing START/SECTION:SECTION NAME
The following sections are available in EVCKC:
SEQUENCER - 2911 Sequencer Tests
ALU - 2901 ALU Tests
BRANCH - Microcode Branch Tests
- WCS
Provisions exist in the program to allow testing of CS Ram
size of 2k or 3k. The program default condition is for 2k
of CS Ram. If 3k of CS Ram exits the user should Set Event
Flag #5 before starting the program. This action will load
new values into the initialization code to test the following
tests for 3K of CS ram:
Control Store - Read/Write Ram Test (EVCKB)
Control Store - Dual Address Test (EVCKB)
- 911 Sequencer UPC + 1 Test (EVCKC)
To set Event Flag 5, type 'SET EVENT 5'.
To clear Event Flag 5, type 'CLEAR EVENT 5'.
- MICRO_LOOPING
Most of the tests employing the use of custom microcode
routines have the ability to loop on the microcode by
setting Event Flag #6, prior to starting the desired test.
This action sets a ULOOP bit in a Local Store Location
causing the test to execute a Diagnostic Supervisor abort
(to stop the macrocode), but allow the CI750 microcode to
loop on the desired test. It is necessary to clear Event
Flag #6 before proceeding to run any other test in the
normal procedure. Note that ulooping is not applicable
to all tests, and could cause misleading results. Check
the test header and test ucode for additional information.
To set Event Flag 6, type 'SET EVENT 6'.
To clear Event Flag 6, type 'CLEAR EVENT 6'.
- EVENT_FLAGS
EVENT FLAG 5 is used to change the WCS tests for 3K.
To set Event Flag 5, type 'SET EVENT 5'.
To clear Event Flag 5, type 'CLEAR EVENT 5'.
Type 'HELP EVCKC WCS' for more information.
EVENT FLAG 6 is used for micro-looping.
To set Event Flag 6, type 'SET EVENT 6'.
To clear Event Flag 6, type 'CLEAR EVENT 6'.
Type 'HELP EVCKC MICRO_LOOPING' for more information.
- QUICK
The QUICK feature is not implemented in this diagnostic.
The diagnostic execution time for EVCKC is 2 minutes, 41 secs
for VAX 8800, 3 mins 52 secs for VAX 8200/8300.
- SUMMARY
The Summary report gives an error count by test number. No report is
generated if there were no errors.
