- HELP
EVAAC is a level IIR functional level diagnostic for the LPC01
color line printer.
Help about general DIAGNOSTIC SUPERVISOR topics is available
via the standard "HELP" commands.
- DEVICE
The LPC01 line printer displays a "screen" file on hardcopy. The
printer must be interfaced to the host computer via a serial line.
The serial line may be either a DZ11 or a DMF32's serial line. The
diagnostic uses the standard terminal driver for its communication
with the color printer. It is important to correctly setup and
attach the terminal.
For more specific device information enter one of the following
commands:
HELP EVAAC DEVICE DMF32A

- ATTACH
ATT DW780 SBI DW0 3 4 0 ; attaches UBA TO 11/780
OR
ATT DW750 HUB DW0 ; attaches UBA to 11/750
OR
ATT DW730 HUB DW0 ; attaches UBA to 11/730
For device specific attach information type the following:
HELP EVAAC ATTACH {device name}
The following device names are supported:
DMF32, DMF32A, and DZ11
- LPC01
The diagnostic uses the normal method to specify units to
be tested. The following commands, to the diagnostic
supervisor will start the automatic (default) test run
for an LPC01 line printer. The two possible command lines,
for the controllers, are listed below. This sequence
assumes that the operator has successfully attached a
controller and the UBA.
DMF32A Controller
DS> ATTACH LPC01 TXA TXA0 ;Attach LPC01, label: TXA0
DS> SET TRACE
DS> SELECT TXA0 ;Select the line printer
DS> START ;Start the default section
DZ11 Serial Line Controller
DS> ATTACH LPC01 TTA TTA4 ;Attach LPC01, label: TTA4
DS> SET TRACE
DS> SELECT TTA4 ;Select the line printer
DS> START ;Start the default section
- DMF32
The following command line will attach the DMF32 Controller.
DS> ATTACH DMF32A DW0 TXA 760400 320 5 377 9600 LOCAL_MODEM NO
- DZ11
The following command line will attach the DZ11 Serial Line
Controller. The appropriate device attach command must be
used with this controller.
DS> ATTACH DZ11 DW0 TTA 760120 320 4 EIA
- DATA-PATTERNS
The data patterns for this diagnostic are displayed by
"Test 3, Display File Test", these allow for visual
error detection by the operator. A radiant pattern is
used.
- SECTIONS
There are two sections in this diagnostic.
They are:
1. Default Test
2. Manual Test
For a complete list of the tests in each section type
one of the following commands:
HELP EVAAC SECTION DEFAULT
HELP EVAAC SECTION MANUAL
- DEFAULT
The following tests are included in the default section
of this diagnostic:
Test 1: Serial Line Driver Test
Test 2: Initialization Test
- MANUAL
The following tests are included in the manual section
of this diagnostic:
Test 3: Display File Test
Test 4: Continuous Serial Line Test
- EVENT-FLAGS
No unique event flags are used by this diagnostic.
- QUICK
The QUICK feature is not implemented in this diagnostic.
- SUMMARY
The Summary feature is not implemented in this diagnostic.
- ERRORS
During test execution QIO errors may occur, for more a list of these
errors enter:
HELP EVAAC ERROR QIO
During initialization several other errors are possible,
for a list of these errors enter:
HELP EVAAC ERROR INIT
During execution of Test 2: Initialization Test, these
additional failures may be reported:
2. Failure To Finish Power-up Diagnostics
The Following Message Was Received From The LCP01
